Car parkThis image is the first in the 'Wings' series, this one captures the isolation I feel when in my room - the car park is opposite to my halls of residence. Which is why I decided to use this location - it reminds me of feeling trapped. | Bus StationWithin this series I focused on myself and how I feel, each photo is following me on my way from confinement to a gradual sense of freedom. |

SubwayThis subway is about half way between my halls and the Hoe, therefore I chose to use this place to represent a sense of hope and brightness. | Up the hillThe wings that I photoshopped onto my back progressively open, they connote my want for freedom. |
Looking over PlymouthThis photograph is about appreciating how far I've come and over-looking my journey. | Plymouth HoeThe Hoe is where I feel most at peace and tranquil - the wings are now fully spread. |
Final Exhibition |
Within each print I have photo-shopped a set of wings onto myself and then photo-etched the pictures onto delicate paper; throughout the series the wings progressively go from closed to open. The journey travels from where I feel most confined to eventually down at the Hoe in Plymouth where I am carefree. I have used wings in my trip because they connote freedom.
